I have had always had an interest in nutrition and how food affects the body. Having studied Food Science at A level, I was fascinated with food and the impact of it on an individuals body. Following my A Levels, I spent a fair amount of time working within the fast food industry. There I saw how people and families ate, functioned whilst eating, how the speed of daily life impacted what they ate and began to develop a deeper understanding of what people consumed.
Having family members with gut issues and seeing how these were impacting on their daily lives intrigued me so I started to read around and deepen my knowledge on irritable bowel disease, digestive problems and constipation. My interest furthered when my daughter developed eczema shortly after she was born. Also having a family history of eczema, asthma and hay fever I wanted to understand and develop my knowledge how nutrition could assist these atopic conditions. This led me to my Masters in Nutritional Therapy which I gained from University of Worcester.
My experiences with life, my daughter and family have inspired me to help clients within my practice.
